Who are we?

Polly Davies Architecture is a Sydney-based studio working between Australia and New Zealand, practising architecture and interior design across private residences + boutique hospitality projects. Built on a simple conviction: the spaces we inhabit should make daily life richer, easier and more beautiful.

In a chaotic world, we design for calm. Shaped by the landscapes of both sides of the Tasman — coastline and bush, alpine ranges and open sky — the work carries a deep connection to nature and the outdoors. We design for the way light moves across a day, for thresholds that dissolve the line between inside and out, with landscape considered from the very first sketch. Our spaces are conceived as places of retreat and restoration, environments that quiet the noise and allow people to simply be.

Every project begins with listening: to the site, its context, and the people who will live within it. We favour natural, honest materials that improve with age, and we are deliberate about light, texture and tone. Working collaboratively and with care, we bring rigour to the detail and generosity to the process — the result is architecture that is quietly confident: refined, enduring, and grounded in its place.
